Amb Julius Bitok Breaks Record By Becoming First Ambassador In Kenyan History To Hit The 100billion Mark In Tea Imports
Ambassador Julius Bitok was recently awarded by president Uhuru Kenyatta for being the first Kenyan ambassador to bring in a record-breaking 100billion in tea imports in 2021.
Mr Bitok who hails from Uasingishu has been able to change the fate of Kenyan farmers in Kenya after years of suffering and poor payment.
This prompted a very impressed Uhuru Kenyatta to award Mr Bitok with an MBS an award which is given to those who have made a difference and touched the lives of Kenyans.
Tea farmers could not hide their joy as they are all smiling ear to ear all the way to the bank.
One of the farmers Jane Chepkorir said, “Mr Bitok has really changed the fate of tea farmers in Kenya many had given up and opted to do other economic activities but Mr Bitok has restored faith in this sector.”
Mr Bitok who is an expert in economic diplomacy was appointed to be Kenya’s ambassador to Pakistan after being a lecturer for 15 years not long after he took office Pakistan became the largest importer of Kenyan tea.
Mr Bitok was able to add 60billion on top of the 40billion that Pakistan was contributing towards tea imports annually.
This is very impressive for a man who has been in office for a few years but has been able to make massive changes.
As Mr Bitok embarks on being Uasingishu’s governor many believe that he will bring economic development and prosperity to the people of Uasingishu as this is his trademark.
