Born in the year 1960 the Tanzanian Politician becomes the new Tanzanian president following the death of President John Maghufuli making her the 1st female President in Tanzania and East Africa Region. She became the 1st female vice president in 2015 General election. Sululu were both reelected to a second term in office in 2020.

The strong lady has served as a Member of parliament for Makanduchi constituency from 2010 to 2015. Suluhu was born in the Sultanate of Zanzibar and after completing her secondary education in 1977, she was employed by the Ministry of Planning and Development as a clerk.

In a televised address on Wednesday night, Tanzania vice-president Samia Suluhu Hassan said that Magufuli had died of heart complications.
